They wanted their guests to gather for beers in the pub prior to the ceremony. They didn’t want fancy canapés but scotch eggs and little pork sausages to be offered around. Their guests drank G&Ts instead of Prosecco. They feasted on beef bourginon before huge apple crumbles were put in the centre of the tables for everyone to dive into, passing around jugs of custard. They wanted a wedding that felt homely, more like a great night in the pub with all their friends and family.
